Between 18th and 25th April 2015 Cirencester Parish Church will be hosting its fourth organ festival and second with international status. The 2015 festival opens with a gala recital performed by virtuoso organist, international composer and improviser Naji Hakim who is visiting the festival from Paris. One of the leading musicians of his generation, Dr Hakim has previously held posts as Organist at the Sacré-Couer Basilica, before succeeding Oliver Messiaen at the church of La Trinité. Dr Hakim rarely performs in the UK and it is a significant privilege that he has chosen Cirencester as one of his rare UK concert locations. Once again, the week-long festival includes five free week-day lunchtime recitals as well as a silent movie improvisation concert by Anthony Hammond (Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde) and and exciting gala performance by Andrew Dewar who is currently organist of The American Cathedral in Paris.
Tickets are available from the Parish Church shop or on the website www.cirencesterorganfestival.co.uk
On Sunday 19th April there will be a Festival Eucharist service at 10am at the Parish Church. Anthony Hammond will be premiering a specially written Mass for Choir and Two Organs at this service.
If you feel that your business might wish to support the festival we are offering a number of advertising and promotional opportunities. For more information, please speak to Helen Hammond or email firstname.lastname@example.org
