EU Referendum Event

EU Referendum Event: 3 June 2016

Dear All

For once, this isn’t specifically a Men’s Group email but I thought you might be interested to know about an event I am helping to organise, along with Churches Together in Cirencester and the Wilts & Gloucestershire Standard, in the run-up to the EU Referendum on 23 June.

The event will be held on Friday 3 June 2016 at 7.30pm in the Boutflour Hall at the Royal Agricultural University.

We will see some lively debate between a couple of well-know local politicians, one from each side of the In/Out argument. We have also lined up three “expert” speakers, who will be there to inform people objectively about the wider business, economic and legal issues at stake - as well as how an outcome either way might affect a rural area like the Cotswolds.

The speakers will be:

Geoffrey Clifton-Brown: MP for the Cotswolds (Out)
Paul Hodgkinson: Gloucestershire County Councillor (In)
John Askew: Partner, St James’s Place
Gillian Ford: Senior Lecturer in EU Law, University of Gloucestershire
John Mortimer: SW Regional Director, Countryside Land & Business Association.

I hope you agree it promises to be a very interesting and informative evening. If you would like to attend, tickets may be obtained from the offices of the Wilts & Gloucestershire Standard at 74 Dyer Street, Cirencester, GL7 2PW. All we request is a 50p donation, which will go towards Cirencester Housing for Young People (CHYP).

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to
contact me.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Best Regards
