Mens Group - June 17
Men's Group Meal and Walk: Tuesday 6 June 2017....
First, we owe a huge thank you to Bill Irving and Peter Grace for our tour of the Cirencester Air Raid Shelter Museum and former Cirencester Town railway station at our most recent Men's Group meeting on 2 May 2017. Thank you to everyone who came along and we hope you enjoyed it.
Our next MG meeting will be on Tuesday 6 June 2017.
In another change to our usual format, we shall be making the most of the light evenings by going on a (leisurely) walk in and around Cirencester, followed by a meal at The Golden Cross Inn. Our plan is to meet at 7.30pm outside the Parish Church, head off for a short walk (no more than an hour or so) in the surrounding area and finish up at the pub for supper and a drink or two.
If you are not able to come on the walk, please do not worry because you will be more than welcome to join us at the Golden Cross for the meal afterwards (we will be arriving back from the walk at about 8.30pm).
Further details will be circulated over the next few days but we would be grateful if you could just let us know in the first instance whether you intend to come along for the walk and/or the meal (we will need to give the pub an idea about numbers for the meal).
The Golden Cross have kindly agreed to prepare a couple of menu choices especially for our group, which we hope you agree will lend a communal feel - and should also help to keep down costs per head. Once those meal options are confirmed, we will contact you again to ask for your choices in advance.
We very much hope you can make it and look forward to hearing from you.
Looking ahead to future meetings, the speaker at our July meeting (Tuesday 4 July 2017) will be Rev Kate Picot, Director of the Harnhill Centre of Christian Healing. This meeting will be held at The Crown, our usual venue
There will be no meeting in August but normal service will be resumed for our September meeting on Tuesday 5 September 2017. Details will be sent out in due course.
