New appointments

New curate

I am delighted to announce that Gary Grady has been selected as a new curate to start work here in July of 2013. Gary is married to Maggie, and they have 2 children, Erin aged 14 and Robert aged 12. Gary will be a stipendiary curate and he is currently training on the WEMTC training scheme. His ordination as a deacon will take place on Sunday 30th June 2013 at 10.15am at the cathedral, to which we are all warmly invited. Gary and has family will live at 54 Alexander Drive.  The Vicar

New sacristan

I am pleased to inform you that Daniel Bristow has agreed to take on the post of Sacristan and Head Server at the Parish Church in succession to Brian Bruton. Dan will be assisted in this role by Richard Kerton, and they will begin on Advent Sunday.  The Vicar

New music appointments

Many of you will have heard Stephen Penton and Sam Bristow on the organ at services already. I am delighted that Sam is now engaged as an organ scholar (a great sign for the future!) and Stephen will be Anthony Hammond's assistant organist (subject to CRB paperwork being completed successfully). This gives us a far more robust regular music provision at the Parish Church, and more widely in the parish. We continue to be thankful to Mike Eddy and Keith Lewis for all they do in providing parish organ music. Lisa and the music group continue to lead other styles of music for our worship in the parish, and we are grateful to them.   The Vicar
