Parish Churchyard Burials 1630 – 1873
In 2025 a local Surveyor presented the Parochial Church Council with a comprehensive plan and set of records in alphabetical order of all the names of people buried in the churchyard-where it has been possible to trace them accurately. Some 25 chest tombs are grade 2 listed by English Heritage and these are marked on the plan.
We also have a photo catalogue that runs alongside the Burial List.
It will enable people to trace their ancestors graves more accurately than in the past. A copy of the plan and records are available for inspection by asking one of the Vergers in Church. By scanning the QR code on this page it is possible to view the records and the plan. Or click this link.
In due course we hope to mark the important graves with a numbered marker and to publish a booklet giving more information about the Churchyard.
