THE ABBEY OF ST MARY, CIRENCESTER
Founded 1117 and demolished mid 1500’s
The LEGO® model of the Abbey was built in 2017 as part of the Abbey 900 Festival.
The model was built by the Cirencester community along with many visitors who were able to sponsor bricks.
Approximately 70,000 bricks were used in the build.
The model is on display in Cirencester Parish Church, The Market Place.
You are welcome to visit the model and step back in time to discover what the Abbey that stood in the present Abbey Grounds might have looked like.
