We are the parish youth group who have been meeting regularly over the year; we meet every 2nd Sunday 5 till 7pm in the Forum. At our meetings we decide (with the adults help) what our programme will be also whose turn it is to bring the nibbles! We always end our meeting with a reflection lead by an adult.
So far some of the activities we have done include a games evening, a balloon debate, sewing our own soft toys, making and flipping pancakes and craft evenings. It is not just about the activities though, coming to Embers we have been able to make new friends some from other schools we are also learning and exploring about being a Christian. Through making our own decisions we are also being encouraged to be independent.
Some our plans for the future are to take part in a breakout room, a sleep over in one of the churches and more activities outside. Already we will be leading the practical prayers at the next ATIC service also we have invited Fiona and Ray to a three course meal that we are planning to cook.
From Embers we would like to say a big Thank you to Fiona for the help (and Pepsi) and thank you for being there each week supporting us, we will miss you.
We love being at Embers why don’t you come and see us maybe even give us a challenge!
